THE ONYX PROJECT

THE ONYX PROJECT -- Welcome team. This is our site for our team project. I will be updating and com-
pleting the initial site look during the week. However, I eventually want this site to visually be designed by
you all.

Post all of your work in the desired tab pages above. Remember to label each post with the conceptual
subject's name. Also put your name in the post to reference who did the design and give brief explanations
of your process.

HELLO EVERYONE

I want to re-iterate that I am excited to be working with all of you and I hope you feel the same. I will do my best to not only help you all become better artist, but give you more insight and direct experience with what working in the art production industry is like. I am impressed with all of your sketchbooks and I look forward to seeing you all grow from there.

During this project I require that you come to class every Monday ready to work, while at the same time being able to relax and just have fun drawing "cool stuff." From next Monday on, I will also be sketching and illustrating assets with you while instructing you on how to make your work better.

Your grades will depend on your contribution to this project (just like job pay). How well you complete your tasks as well as how efficient and professional your work is will count heavily. Don't be alarmed, I don't expect industry caliber efficiency, however, I expect you to work your way toward that. I will be able to judge accordingly in the fairest way possible.

I don't expect you all to be the same, work the same, and learn the same -- but I do expect you all to dedicate yourselves the same. On this blog I will be posting the project outline I shared in class with a weekly task list/project schedule.

While I see that you all have most of the supplies needed for this project I just want to list them for good measure:

A sketchbook (at least 9x12)
Art Pens
Pencils (HB,B,F lead and Non-Photo Blue)
Grey Markers (Cool or Warm Grey)
Marker Paper - Sizes can range between 8x11 and 4x17

I look forward to working with this team and seeing this project grow into something special. The project will be a vehicle for me to teach you how to be a better concept artist by working on an actual project instead of me just lecturing you and giving you individual assignments.
